OUR DEFENSE INDUSTRY TEST STANDARDS
Systems used in the defense industry must be resistant to extraordinary challenges and harsh environmental conditions. In this field, we provide testing solutions that offer high security, precision and compliance with international standards for both domestic and foreign manufacturers. Our testing processes cover the resistance of military products against electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio frequency (RF), vibration, temperature, humidity and other environmental effects.
EMC and RF Tests for the Defense Industry
Electronic systems on military platforms including land, air and naval platforms must be tested in terms of electromagnetic compatibility to ensure that equipment such as radars, communication devices, missile control systems and sensors can operate together. Our tests aim to verify that these systems operate in harmony both internally and with other systems without causing interference.
Defense Standards and Protocols We Apply
- MIL-STD-461G – EMC Test Standard for Military Devices
- MIL-STD-810H – Environmental Durability (Temperature, Vibration, Humidity, Shock)
- NATO AECTP Series – Allied EMC and Environmental Test Rules
- DEF STAN 59-411 – British Defense EMC Standard
- RTCA/DO-160 – Electromagnetic Test Protocols Used in Aviation
Areas Included in the Test Scope
- EMI/EMC tests performed through radiated and conducted paths
- Electrostatic discharge (ESD) resistance measurements
- Radio frequency immunity and emission tests
- Operation tests under high/low temperature and humidity conditions
- Vibration, shock and mechanical durability tests
Why Is EMC Testing Critically Important in Defense?
Since systems used in the defense industry interact with each other, it is highly important that electromagnetic signals emitted by one system do not adversely affect other systems. For example, if the signal emitted by a radar system interrupts a communication system, this may lead to operational failure and security vulnerability. Therefore, all systems must undergo EMC tests to ensure that they can operate in an integrated structure.
The EMC tests performed in our laboratory analyze the behavior of all electronic products used in military fields, base areas, ships and aircraft under real-world conditions by simulating them in the laboratory environment.
Testing Process and Certification
Our defense testing services are carried out under the guidance of our engineering team starting from the application process. After the preliminary testing and evaluation phase, a test plan is created and detailed measurements and analyses are performed. When the tests are completed, technical reports are prepared and certification is provided in the formats requested by NATO, the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) or other relevant authorities upon request.
Throughout the entire process, we work in accordance with the principles of high confidentiality, impartiality and quality. We are ready to provide the most suitable and fastest solution with our expert engineering team for your defense industry-specific testing needs.
