MIXER TEST STANDARDS

We provide comprehensive testing services for the safety, electromagnetic compatibility and performance of mixers included in the small household appliances category. Mixers are evaluated according to a range of international standards in terms of both electrical safety and their interaction with environmental effects.

Test Scope Applied for Mixers

Household or semi-professional mixer devices must operate safely and in compliance with regulations together with their motor systems, electronic control components and metal/plastic housings. Within this scope, our laboratory evaluates the compliance of mixers with electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), durability, performance and CE marking requirements.

Main Applicable Standards

  • TS EN 60335-1 – General Safety Requirements for Electrical Appliances
  • TS EN 60335-2-14 – Particular Requirements for Mixers and Similar Motor-Operated Devices
  • TS EN 55014-1 – Radio Disturbance Emission Limits
  • TS EN 55014-2 – EMC Immunity Requirements
  • TS EN 61000-3-2 / -3 – Harmonic Current and Voltage Fluctuation Tests

Types of Tests Performed

  • Electrical insulation and leakage current tests
  • Mechanical durability and impact tests
  • EMC emission and immunity tests
  • Motor overheating and performance under load test
  • Grounding and IP protection class assessments

Importance of Tests and Legal Requirements

Devices such as mixers are critical products in terms of electrical hazards and electromagnetic interference because they come into direct contact with users. According to European Union legislation, products without CE marking cannot be placed on the market. In order for mixers to obtain a CE declaration of conformity, they must pass the tests specified above. In addition, compliance with EU directives such as the EMC Directive and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) must also be ensured.

Testing Process and Certification

The testing process begins when the product sample is delivered to our laboratory. After the preliminary assessment, a test plan is prepared and then comprehensive tests are carried out. When the tests are successfully completed, the technical file is prepared and a declaration of conformity for CE marking can be created. We provide technical reports to the manufacturer and support the preparation of all required legal documentation.
