Residential, Industrial Environments

Electromagnetic Compatibility in Residential and Industrial Env.
Electrical and electronic devices used in residential and industrial environments must not emit electromagnetic interference to their surroundings and must also be resistant to external electromagnetic influences. EMC tests determine whether devices meet these requirements and ensure safe and uninterrupted operation.
What Are the Main Product Groups Covered by This Env?
EMC tests for residential and industrial environments cover a very wide range of products. Both products developed for household use and industrial equipment suitable for harsh operating conditions are evaluated within this scope.
📌 Some of the products covered include:
- White goods: Refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens and microwave ovens
- Small household appliances: Vacuum cleaners, irons, coffee machines, blenders and mixers
- Personal care devices: Hair dryers, shavers and electric toothbrushes
- Consumer electronics: Televisions, sound systems, game consoles and set-top boxes
- Computers and peripherals: Desktop/laptop computers, monitors, printers, modems and routers
- Lighting equipment: LED lamps, chandeliers and smart lighting systems
- Smart home devices: Smart plugs, security cameras, robot vacuum cleaners and digital thermostats
- Electric motors and drives
- Industrial sensors and automation control units
- Heavy machinery and power supplies
- Factory control panels
- Industrial lighting and HVAC systems
- Data acquisition devices and industrial computers
Testing and Reporting Process
EMC tests of products are planned according to their area of use, technical specifications and target market. The tests measure both the electromagnetic emissions and electromagnetic immunity of devices. Detailed technical reports are prepared as a result of tests carried out in full compliance with international standards. These reports prove the legal compliance of products and are required for CE marking.
Main EMC Standards We Apply
TS EN 61000-6-1
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – Part 6-1: Generic standards – Immunity standard for residential environments
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – Part 6-1: Generic standards – Immunity for residential, commercial and light-industrial environments
TS EN 61000-6-3
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – Part 6-3: Generic standards – Emission standard for residential environments
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – Part 6-3: Generic standards – Emission standard for residential, commercial and light-industrial environments
